Misty Bridge

"Misty Bridge"

This was a random bit of luck. I got this and the other two "misty" shots on my way to my cousin's wedding in York, Maine. I had left and had allocated too much time to get there, so I had a few minutes to kill before the ceremony - and so it was a fateful moment when I drove right past this little bay where all of this fog had rolled in. It was an eerie sight, but very still and beautiful. It was a cool place in general - a man-made gravel path led you out from the shore to a small island where this bridge was. There was some historical significance to it, but I don't remember what. In any case, I got this great photo of the bridge. I particularly like it because the wet wood really brings out that rich reddish brown which contrasts with the green of the metal/paint. And it is all finished off by fading into the distance due to the fog.
