| Pearl is an interesting creature.
Without a doubt she has been a motivational figure in my life
and was the catalyst for many of my more recent, big life changes.
Among those was the creation of a series and a movement called
NickCentric, which really started these drawings of all of my
friends off. The idea was to honor my friends - the people who
I live and die for - in my artwork. And so, it only stands to
reason that Pearl would have been one of those. The truth is that
I have tried to draw Pearl over and over again, with only limited
success. I think its because - to me - her energy is more than
I could ever hope to put on paper, and therefore any image of
her pales in comparison to the real thing. In any case - this
is the best I have. |
