"Aimee"
Pencil on Paper
14"x17" - Not Framed
NFS
I met Aimee at a bar as I sat there
drawing. She and I were worlds apart as far as our extroverted
selves indicated. Though deep down inside, we were very similar.
In any case, she was friends with everyone, and everyone knew
her. She would sing 80% of the time at Karaoke night, and made
her rounds saying hi and meeting new people. I was not one of
those people until I showed up one day with my drawing pad. She
came over and introduced herself and asked to see some of my work.
She thought it was really good, and asked if I would draw her.
I explained that I would be happy to, but I can only really draw
from photos. So she gave me the access info to her MySpace account
and told me to pick any photo I wanted. So I did. And this was
it. I gave it to her on her birthday. She and I never really became
friends per se, but without her noticing me, I don't think I'd
be in the same place today. So if you're still out there Aimee...
